This was my first attempt at piecing together scans and it did not go very well. It was a total of six scans (which you can probably pick out in full view). The bottom scans were at a totally different contrast level than the top. Also, I do not understand how it could possibly not line up.
There are quite a few areas I am unhappy with. Not sure adding the trunk of the tree in the background was a good move. The guys head looks too small to me. The actual size should be about right, but it looks goofy. I had to make up the eyes because he was wearing glasses that were not really period. The mane bothers me. I usually do hair shapes and then add individual lines at areas of contrast. I tried doing individual lines.
I think that you did an excellent job on rendering this out. If you don't like the eyes, maybe next time you can find a magazine picture or something of eyes that you do like as a reference. Great picture!
I can only see the difference in the bottom, where it scanned lighter. It is still a good picture! I like the mane, I see nothing wrong there.

Wonderfully drawn! Of course, I love your works anyway. Harse are so difficult, and you have executed this extrememy well. Be proud of this. It's fantastic!
I only see the bottom part that is lighter than the rest. I have that same problem when scanning large images. But it is no matter unless your wanting to sell it as print. We all understand how scanning can be.
I am a horrible speller. I usually try to look stuff up so I do not look like such an idiot, but sometimes I get in a hurry (Bludgened versus Bludgeoned).
Thanks and thank you for the fav. I do not think my stuff is right to be successful as prints on deviantart, so I am not worried as long as it is not too distracting. I just like the advice I get from people and drawing keeps me sane (well mostly sane).
dyslexics untie! Comes from being in a hurry I guess.....

Thanks and thanks for the fav. It is really big (about 16x20) in person so some of the stuff is more obvious on the original. I look at every drawing as a learning experience, so I do not get as upset as I used to about mistakes. A couple of years ago I probably would have thrown it out. Still cannot hang most of my stuff on the wall of my house. It is like when you paint a room and get a tiny spot on the ceiling. Every time you go in the room your eye is drawn to that one spot until you paint the ceiling. Then of course you get a tiny spot of ceiling paint on the wall . . .

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
